A bill to transfer responsibility for furnishing certified copies of Miller Act payment bonds from the Comptroller General to the officer that awarded the contract for which the bond was given.

Amends the Federal law requiring the furnishing of a payment bond by a contractor for construction or repair work of any public building or work to direct the department secretary or agency head (Comptroller General under present law) to furnish a certified copy of such bond and the related contract if the contractor submits an affidavit: (1) that the contractor supplied labor or materials for such work and that payment has not been made; or (2) that suit is being brought on such bond.
