A bill to require a speedy trial for criminal defendants charged with use of a firearm in the commission of a Federal crime.

Specifies time limits and exclusions to such limits for: (1) bringing to trial defendants charged with Federal offenses involving the use of a firearm; and (2) making certain pretrial motions in Federal criminal cases. Authorizes the Administrative Office of the United States Courts to make emergency payments to district courts requiring immediate funds to implement such provisions without reducing the quality of justice in the district.
