A bill to amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act for the purpose of improving certain provisions of the medicare program.

Amends title XVIII (Medicare) of the Social Security Act to provide that the reasonable cost of physical, occupational, speech or other therapy services shall be based on a reasonable rate per unit of service rather than on a reasonable salary paid for such services as is now the case.

Removes the $100 limitation on "outpatient physical therapy services" furnished to an individual while an inpatient of a hospital or extended care facility.
