A joint resolution proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to prohibit compelling the attendance of a student in a public school other than the public school nearest the residence of such student.

Constitutional Amendment - Prohibits compelling a student to attend a public school other than the one nearest his residence which is located within the school district in which the student resides and which provides the course of study pursued by such student.

Grants Congress the power to enforce by appropriate legislation the provisions of this amendment, and to insure equal educational opportunities for all students wherever located.
