Establishes a Senate Select Committee on Improper Activities in the Labor or Management Field to conduct an investigation of the extent to which criminal or other improper activities are engaged in by persons in the field of labor management relations and related areas including insurance and pension programs.
Specifies matters to be covered in the select committee's investigations, including (1) the disappearance of James R. Hoffa, (2) transactions entered into by the International Brotherhood of the Teamsters, Chauffeurs, Warehousemen, and Helpers of America, or any pension or welfare fund thereof either in connection with real estate or with persons in the gambling business, (3) teamster group insurance policies, and (4) allegations of organized crime influence in the area of labor-management relations.
