Authorizes the expenditure of funds, not to exceed $2,683,200, by the Senate Committee on Governmental Affairs for hearings and investigations.
Authorizes the Committee to study or investigate: (1) the efficiency and economy of operations of all branches of the Government; (2) the extent to which criminal or improper practices are engaged in labor-management relations; (3) syndicated or organized crime; (4) all other aspects of crime and lawlessness impacting the national safety; (5) riots, vandalism, and civil and criminal disorder; and (6) the efficiency of Government operations with reference to national security and management of energy shortages.
