A bill authorizing the Secretary of Agriculture to establish a demonstration program for the application of existing energy conserving and renewable energy technology to farms and agricultural communities.
Agricultural Energy Demonstration Act - Establishes within the Department of Agriculture an Office of Agricultural Energy Demonstration which shall conduct, monitor, and annually report to Congress on an agricultural energy conservation and renewable energy demonstration program. Specifies the applications of energy conservation and of renewable energy technology to be demonstrated, including solar energy and geothermal resources, and specifies guidelines for the allocation of funds provided for such applications.
Authorizes appropriations for such program in the amounts of $20,000,000 for fiscal year 1978 and $30,000,000 for fiscal year 1979.
