A bill to amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to establish a different numerical limitation for immigrants born in foreign contiguous territories.
Contiguous Neighbor Amendments to the Immigration and Nationality Act - Amends the Immigration and Nationality Act to increase the number of aliens born in any foreign state of the Western Hemisphere or in the Canal Zone who may acquire the status of an alien lawfully admitted to the United States in any of the first three quarters of any fiscal year from 32,000 to 35,000 and the total number in any fiscal year from 120,000 to 130,000.
Increases the total number of preference priority immigrant visas and the number of conditional entries made available to natives of all foreign contiguous territories to 50,000 for any fiscal year. Makes available 50,000 visas and conditional entries to foreign contiguous territories in the year following a year when the maximum number of visas or conditional entries has been made available.
Exempts parents, spouses, or children of United States citizens or of lawfully admitted permanent resident aliens born in any foreign contiguous territory from the labor certification requirement of the Immigration and Nationality Act.
