A bill to establish a Bicentennial Commission on American Government to study and appraise the organization and operation of the executive branch of the Government.
Bicentennial Commission on American Government Act - Establishes a Bicentennial Commission on American Government to study the operations of all agencies of the Executive branch and, if the Commission deems necessary, the Legislative and Judicial branches, to determine what changes are necessary to improve the functioning of the Executive branch, increase the Government's ability to adapt to a rapidly changing society, and insure that the Government does not interfere with the individual freedoms of citizens. Directs the Commission to make such interim reports as it deems necessary and to submit a final report of its findings and recommendations to the President and Congress within 30 months after the full Commission is appointed. Abolishes the Commission 90 days after submission of the final report.
Authorizes to be appropriated without fiscal year limitation the sum of $10,000,000 to carry out the provisions of this Act.
