A bill to impose certain safety requirements with respect to swimming pools acquired, built, or operated by the Federal Government.
Swimming Pool Safety Act - Prevents any Federal agency or recipient of Federal funds from acquiring, building, or operating any outdoor swimming pool unless such pool is: (1) enclosed by a six foot fence with self-latching gates; and (2) equipped with at least one life ring and one rescue hook.
Directs the Administrator of General Services to promulgate rules and regulations as necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act and to report to Congress on the operation of these regulations.
