A bill to authorize the permanent establishment of a system of Federal Information Centers.
Federal Information Centers Act - Amends the Federal Property and Administrative Services Act of 1949 to authorize the Administrator of General Services to establish within the General Services Administration a nationwide network of Federal information centers for the purpose of informing the public of programs and procedures of the Federal Government and for other appropriate and related purposes.
Authorizes the appropriation of $7,000,000 for fiscal year 1980 and such sums as necessary for each succeeding fiscal year to carry out this Act.
