A bill to provide a voluntary self-help program designed to assist producers of agricultural products to protect themselves against loss of production when natural or uncontrollable conditions adversely affect production and to assure consumers that producers will be able to continue to produce food and fiber.
Farm Production Protection Act - Repeals the Federal Crop Insurance Act. Empowers the Commodity Credit Corporation, commencing with farm production for 1980, to insure agricultural producers for up to 90 percent of the cost of production of a specified product against losses due to unavoidable or natural causes.
