A bill to authorize the disposal of eleven materials from the national and supplemental stockpiles.
Strategic and Critical Materials Transaction Act - Authorizes the appropriation of $579,000,000 for the acquisition of strategic and critical materials for the National stockpile under the Strategic and Critical Materials Stockpiling Act.
Authorizes the disposal of the following materials from the national and supplemental stockpile: (1) 2,000 short tons of asbestos chrysotile; (2) 1,500 short tons of antimony; (3) 25,000 pounds of mica, muscovite film; (4) 15,000,000 troy ounces of silver; (5) 35,000 long tons of tin; (6) 20,000 short tons of crude aluminum oxide; (7) 5,000 pieces of diamond dies; (8) 4,000,000 carats of industrial diamonds; (9) 750,000 pounds of sebacic acid castor oil; (10) 300,000 pounds of bismuth; and (11) 450,000 pounds of iodine.
Sets forth provisions relating to the sale and procurement of such materials, including the use of barter.
