A bill modifying the federal assistance program for highways.
Continuing Interstate and Primary Highway Assistance Act - Authorizes the Secretary of Transportation, beginning with funds apportioned for fiscal year 1980, to approve State projects for resurfacing, restoring, and rehabilitating lanes on the Interstate Highway System.
Directs the Secretary to establish a program to insure that each State commits adequate resources to reconstruction, rehabilitation, and resurfacing of Interstate routes in order to insure that the condition of these routes is maintained at the level required for the purposes for which they were designated.
