A bill to amend chapter 315 of title 18, United States Code, to authorize payment of transportation expenses by United States marshals for transportation expenses for persons released from custody pending their appearance to face criminal charges before that court or any court of the United States in another Federal judicial district.
Authorizes, when justice and need so require, Federal payment of specified travel expenses and allowances of persons released from custody pending an appearance to face criminal charges before the releasing Federal judge or magistrate in any judicial district.
States that such provision shall take effect on October 1, 1978.
