A bill to authorize the Secretary of the Interior to transfer franchise fees received from certain concession operations at Grand Canyon National Park, Ariz., to the Grand Canyon Unified School District, Ariz.
Authorizes the Secretary of the Interior to make payments to reimburse the appropriate school districts for educational facilities and services provided to pupils living at or near the Grant Canyon National Park on United States property which is not subject to taxation by the State or local agencies.
Directs the Secretary to submit an annual estimate of such anticipated payments to the appropriate committees of the Senate and the House of Representatives.
Authorizes the appropriation of $1,500,000 for fiscal year 1979 and $1,500,000 for each succeeding fiscal year to carry out the provisions of this Act.
