A bill to insure adequate compensation to the United States for the use of Federal property for automobile parking purposes, to encourage the use of mass transportation and car-pooling by Federal employees.
Federal Parking Act - Requires that a fee be assessed against each privately owned motor vehicle utilizing parking facilities in connection with employment, business, or visitation at Federal offices or installations.
Stipulates that such fees shall be similar to those charged for public parking in the same general locality.
Directs the Administration of the General Service Administration, the Director of the Administrative Office of United States Courts, and the Architect of the Capitol to coordinate the respective activities of the executive, judicial, and legislative branches of the Government in the implementation of this Act.
Stipulates that all revenues collected pursuant to this Act be deposited in the Treasury of the United States as miscellaneous receipts.
