A bill to amend title 5, U.S.C.
Excepts from the annual and sick leave provisions of law any officer in the legislative or judicial branch who is appointed by the President.
Provides that any annual or sick leave standing to the credit of an individual at the time such individual is excepted from certain annual and sick leave provisions of law, shall be added to the employee's total service for the purpose of computing his retirement anniuty.
Provides that this Act shall take effect on the first day of the first applicable pay period which begins on or after the date of enactment.
Stipulates that such retirement credit shall apply only with respect to employees who retire or die on or after the date of enactment.
