A bill to amend the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act to prohibit the sexual exploitation of children and the transportation and dissemination of photographs or films depicting such exploitation.
Child Exploitation Prevention Act - Amends the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act to prohibit the sexual exploitation of children by making it unlawful for any individual to (1) cause or permit a child to be photographed or filmed engage in a sexual act prohibited under this Act; (2) photograph or film a prohibited sexual act; (3) knowingly transport a film or photograph depicting a prohibited sexual act; or (4) receive for sale any such film or photograph, if such individual knows or should know such film or photograph has or may be transported in such a manner as to affect interstate or foreign commerce.
Imposes a fine of up to $25,000 and/or imprisonment for up to five years for violations of this Act.
