A bill to create a National Advisory Committee on Oceans and Atmosphere, and for for other purposes.
National Advisory Committee on Oceans and Atmosphere Act - Establishes a National Advisory Committee on Oceans and Atmosphere to conduct a continuing review of national ocean and marine policy and coastal zone management programs and to advise the Secretary of Commerce with respect to administration of the programs of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
Directs the Committee to submit an annual report on the status of national marine and atmospheric activities to Congress and the President. Authorizes the appropriation of $480,000 for fiscal year 1978 to carry out the provisions of this Act.
Stipulates that such advisory committee shall replace an advisory committee with similar functions and duties established in 1971.
