District of Columbia Speedy Trial Act - Amends the District of Columbia Code to establish procedures and time limits to facilitate the speedy trial of criminal cases.
Provides for: (1) the dismissal of charges against an individual if indictments are not filed within a specified time; and (2) the dismissal of an indictment if the individual is not brought to trial within a specified time.
