Authorizes the Secretary of State to acquire a statue or bust of George C. Marshall and place it in the Department of State.
Establishes a noncompensated Commission, under the direction of the Secretary, to select a sculptor the size, style, design, and material of such statue or bust.
Authorizes to be appropriated to the Secretary as of October 1, 1978, $10,000 for such acquisition.
Provides that the Secretary shall be responsible for all care and maintenance of the memorial.
