A bill to amend the Public Works and Economic Development Act to establish a comprehensive program to provide financial and technical assistance to States, local governments, and Indian tribes to manage impacts caused by energy development.
Inland Energy Development Impact Assistance Act - Amends the Public Works and Economic Development Act of 1965 to establish an inland energy development impact program in the Department of Commerce.
Includes among the assistance provided under such program to States, local governments, and Indian tribes which are affected as a result of energy development activities: (1) technical assistance; (2) grants for comprehensive growth management and monitoring plans; (3) loans and loan guarantees for required new public facilities and services; and (4) grants for impact crises.
Creates an Inland Energy Impact Fund within the Treasury.
