A bill to amend the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act of 1973 to establish a community service employment program for young persons.
Community Service Youth Employment Act - Establishes a community service youth employment program under the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act of 1973 pursuant to which the Secretary of Labor is to financially assist local governments and private nonprofit organizations submitting approved applications. Directs such local governments and organizations to make grants to eligible applicants for projects which will provide public service job opportunities for certain persons over age 18.
Establishes a National Commission on Youth Community Service to assist in carrying out this Act.
