Stipulates that warrant officers of the uniformed services who accept appointments as warrant officers shall be paid the greater of: (1) the pay and allowances the individual was previously entitled to as a warrant officer; or (2) the pay and allowances to which the individual would be entitled to as a commisioned officer.
Stipulates that proficiency pay, incentive pay for hazardous duty, special pay for diving duty, and sea and foreign duty pay may be used in calculating the amount of such individuals's former pay and allowances only for so long as the officer continues to perform such type of duty. (Adds 37 U.S.C. 908)
