A bill to provide a guarantee of part-time employment for disadvantaged youth from low-income families who pursue their education.
Youth Incentive Act - Amends the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act of 1973 to direct the Secretary of Labor to provide financial assistance to prime sponsors submitting approved plans for school year youth incentive and/or summer youth incentive programs.
States that under school year youth incentive programs assistance is to be given to eligible applicants for projects which provide part-time employment for disadvantaged youth who are attending or who return to secondary school or an educational program leading to high school equivalency, while under summer youth incentive programs assistance is to be given to eligible applicants for projects which provide full-time or part-time employment for disadvantaged youths during the summer to enable them to continue in a course of instruction or in job training.
