A bill to require that all timber harvested from lands owned by the United States located west of the 100th meridian be processed in the United States, that only certain products from the processing of timber harvested from certain lands owned by the United States be exported from the United States.
Public Land Timber Conservation Act - Requires all timber harvested from lands owned by the United States and located West of the one hundredth meridian to be processed in the United States.
Specifies those processed products which may be exported. Prohibits exportation of all unprocessed timber, except that specifically exempted by the Secretaries of the Interior and Agriculture in conformance with this Act.
Requires a purchaser of timber from such lands to submit an affidavit denying prior exportation of timber from such lands for a specified period. Prohibits exportation of unprocessed timber harvested from such purchased lands except as permitted by this Act.
