A bill to amend title II of the Social Security Act to provide that an individual's entitlement to benefits thereunder shall continue through the month of his or her death (or of the insured individual's death in the case of a dependent), instead of terminating with the preceding month, unless the resulting delay in survivor eligibility would reduce total family benefits.

Amends Title II (Old-Age, Survivors, and Disability Insurance) of the Social Security Act to provide for the continuation of benefit entitlement through the month of death (or through the month of the insured's death in the case of a dependent), unless the continuation of entitlement (and the consequent delay in survivor entitlement) would result in a reduction in the total benefits to which all persons are entitled for such month on the basis of the insured's wages and self-employment income.
