Increases the amount authorized to be appropriated for remedial action to limit radiation exposure from uranium mill tailings used in certain construction operations from $5,000,000 to $8,000,000.
Stipulates that decisions on the amount of such remedial payments shall be made by the Administrator of the Energy Research and Development Administration based upon the recommendation of the State. Stipulates that requirements that remedial work be performed by the State of Colorado or its authorized contractor may be waived by the State.
