A bill to extend and revise the authority of the President under chapter 9 of title 5, United States Code, to transmit to the Congress plans for the reorganization of the agencies of the executive branch of the Government.
Reorganization Act Amendments - Amends the Reorganization Act of 1949 to extend the President's authority to submit executive branch reorganization plans to Congress to December 31, 1980. Requires both Houses of Congress to approve such plan within 60 days after the date on which it is transmitted to Congress to give such plan effect.
Requires the Committees of Government Operations of the Senate and House of Representatives to consider such a reorganization plan and make their recommendations thereon within 45 days of submission by the President.
Sets forth procedures for the consideration of such plan by both Houses of Congress.
