A bill to amend title 5, United States Code, to provide that law enforcement service performed while in the Coast Guard shall be included in determining whether an individual qualifies for immediate retirement as a law enforcement officer or firefighter under section 8336(c) of such title.

Stipulates that law enforcement service performed while in the Coast Guard, when the Coast Guard was not operated as a service in the Navy, shall be included in determining if an employee has 20 years of service as a law enforcement officer or firefighter for purposes of qualifying for retirement.
