A bill to provide for the Federal payment of State unemployment compensation benefits which are paid to individuals who are unemployed because of the natural gas shortage.
Energy-Related Unemployment Compensation Act - Directs the Secretary of Labor to reimburse States for unemployment compensation paid to a member of a group of employees certified by the Secretary as having a significant number or proportion of members totally or partially unemployed, or threatened with such unemployment, primarily due to the inability of an employer to obtain an adequate supply of natural gas.
Sets forth certification procedures and procedures and standards for review of determinations relative to State certification petitions.
