A bill to direct the Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare to make the medicaid and medicare programs more effective and efficient by utilizing, in the administration of such programs, a uniform system of medical terminology which is based on the standard system of medical terminology utilized by the medical profession.

Directs the Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare, in the administration of Title XVIII (Medicare) and Title XIX (Medicaid) of the Social Security Act, to utilize to the maximum extent possible a uniform system of medical terminology which is based on the standard system of medical terminology utilized by the medical profession.
