A bill to amend the National Capital Transportation Act of 1969 to authorize Federal subsidies for the operation and maintenance of the Arlington Cemetery and Smithsonian stations of the Washington metropolitan area rapid rail transit system.

Amends the National Capital Transportation Act of 1969 to require the Secretary of Transportation to make payments to the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority in such amounts as the Transit Authority may requisition to finance the operation and maintenance of the Arlington Cemetery and Smithsonian stations of the Washington metropolitan area rapid rail transit system.

Authorizes the appropriation of not more than $500,000 for each fiscal year beginning with fiscal year 1979 to carry out the provisions of this Act.
