Authorizes the Secretary of Agriculture, through grants made under contracts or other arrangements, to establish and operate, near the District of Columbia, an international agricultural trade center, in order to: (1) demonstrate the latest methods and technology, equipment, facilities, chemicals, and seeds being used in the United States to produce agricultural products; (2) exhibit the latest varieties of agricultural commodities and breeds of poultry and livestock being produced and raised in the United States; (3) provide a facility for holding international conferences on agricultural production and trade; and (4) improve and expand exportation of agricultural products and equipment, facilities, chemicals, and seeds used in producing such products.
Authorizes the appropriation of $5,000,000 for fiscal year 1979 to carry out the provisions of this Act.
