A bill to authorize the coinage of fifty-cent pieces bearing a design emblematic of the 1980 Winter Olympic Games.

Directs the Secretary of the Treasury, in recognition of the 1980 winter Olympic games, to be held at Lake Placid, New York, to coin and issue 50-cent pieces of standard size, weight, and composition, except that each piece shall be a clad coin as defined in the Coinage Act of 1965.

Directs the Secretary to distribute such pieces at a price, not to exceed ten dollars per piece, determined by the Secretary.
