A bill to provide for a research, development, and demonstration program to determine the feasibility of collecting in space solar energy to be transmitted to Earth and to generate electricity for domestic purposes.
Solar Power Satellite Research, Development, and Demonstration Program Act - Directs the Secretary of Energy and the Administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration to initiate a Solar Power Satellite Research, Development, and Demonstration Program to study technical problems regarding the viability of the solar power satellite concept.
Requires the Secretary, in consultation with the Administrator, to submit to Congress, January 3, 1979, of a comprehensive plan to implement the Program.
