A bill to amend title 28, United States Code, to increase to $50,000 the amount of an award which an agency may determine, without the approval of the Attorney General.

Amends the Federal Torts Claims Act to increase from $25,000 to $50,000 the amount of a claim for damages against the United States for injury or loss of property or personal injury caused by an employee of a Federal agency which may be settled by the agency without the written approval of the Attorney General.
