Constitutional Amendment - Declares that the term of office of Members of the House of Representatives shall be four years. Divides the seats of the Representatives into two equal classes so that one half of the Members are chosen every second year.
Limits to three the number of consecutive terms which a Member may serve. Prohibits a person who has served three consecutive terms from serving as a Representative during the two-year period beginning immediately after the end of the third term.
Limits to three the number of consecutive terms which a Senator may serve. Prohibits a person who has served three consecutive terms of six years from serving during the two-year period beginning immediately after the end of the third term.
Prohibits a person who is a Representative with more than one year remaining in his or her term, from being elected to the Senate unless such person has previously submitted a resignation.
