Constitutional amendment - Changes the length of the term of office for Members of the House of Representatives to four years. Divides the seats of the Representatives into two equal classes so that one class will be elected every second year. Prohibits a person from serving any portion of a term as Representative if at the completion of such term the person would have served as a Representative for more than ten consecutive years.
Changes the length of the term of office for a Senator to eight years. Prohibits a Senator from serving any portion of a term if at the completion of such term the Senator would have served for more than 12 consecutive years.
Provides that the President and Vice President shall hold office during a term of six years. Prohibits a person from serving any portion of a term as President or Vice President if at the completion of such term such person would have served or acted as President or Vice President for periods aggregating more than nine years.
Directs that judges of the Supreme and inferior courts be appointed to their offices for a term of ten years and shall hold their offices during good behavior. Directs that no person shall be appointed more than once as a judge of the Supreme or inferior courts.
