Expresses the sense of Congress that the settlement plan for Namibia adopted by the United Nations Security Council has the greatest potential to be a peaceful, internationally acceptable settlement.
Calls upon all Namibian political parties to support the settlement plan to facilitate the formation of an independent state.
Calls upon the Government of the Republic of South Africa to: (1) reassess its decision to reject the proposed settlement plan; and (2) seek to resolve the remaining differences with the plan for Namibian independence.
