A resolution relating to a global approach to meeting the long-term energy needs.

Expresses the sense of the Senate that the President should seek a global approach to world energy problems. Calls for an assessment of energy needs and identification of possible sources of energy with specific identification of those areas of the world where investments are most likely to produce cheap and abundant energy.

Requests the President to present such proposal to international forums such as the Conference on International Economic Cooperation and a global energy conference to which all nations would be invited.
