Provides, under the Defense Production Act, that members of the National Commission on Supplies and Shortages appointed by the President in consultation with Congressional leaders are exempted from specified provisions of Federal law regulating compensation and activities of Federal officials.
Extends until June 30, 1975, the date upon which the Commission shall report to the President and the Congress on specific recommendations with respect to institutional adjustments, including the advisability of establishing an independent agency to provide for a comprehensive data collection and storage system, to aid in examination and analysis of the supplies and shortages in the economy of the United States and in relation to the rest of the world.
Provides that appropriations authorized for fiscal year 1975 shall remain available until December 31, 1975.
