A joint resolution to authorize the erection of the American Legion's Freedom Bell on lands of the park system of the District of Columbia.
Authorizes the American Legion to erect on lands of the park system of the District of Columbia and its environs on lands owned by the United States, and to present to the Congress on behalf of the children of America, the American Legion's Freedom Bell, in honor of the Bicentennial celebration of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
Makes all plans for the choice of the site and the placement of the freedom bell subject to the approval of the Secretary of the Interior, the Commission on Fine Arts, and the National Capital Planning Commission.
