A bill entitled "Winterization Assistance Act of 1975."
Winterization Assistance Act - States that the purpose of this Act is to encourage the States to develop and implement winterization programs to insulate the dewellings of low-income persons in order to conserve energy and to aid those persons least able to afford higher energy costs.
Authorizes the Administrator of the Federal Energy Administration to establish criteria to evaluate State applications. Provides grants to States in order to carry out such programs. Authorizes the appropriation of not more than $9,000.000 for fiscal year 1975 and not more that $55,000,000 per year for fiscal years 1976, 1977 and 1978 for purposes.
