S. 3520 — A bill to extend the rural community fire protection program.

Summary

Requires the Secretary of Agriculturre, under the Rural Development Act of 1972, to encourage the use of excess personal property by rural fire forces receiving assistance under the rural community fire protection program.

Directs the Secretary to submit an annual report to the Congress regarding the operation of the program provided for under this Act.

Authorizes additional appropriations of $7,000,000 for each of fiscal years 1978, 1979, and 1980 to carry out the rural community fire protection program.
