A bill to amend the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, as amended, to authorize additional authority for the Overseas Private Investment Corporation for fiscal year 1978.
Overseas Private Investment Corporation Amendments Act - Amends the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 to authorize the President to pay in as capital of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation such sums as may be needed for fiscal year 1978 to carry out direct investment programs and activities. Increases to $100,000,000 the amount required in the Insurance Reserve of the Corporation before appropriations may be made to augment such Reserve. Increases to $250,000,000 the limitation upon the aggregate amount of certain obligations which the Corporation may have outstanding at one time. Increases to two years the period during which such obligations must be repaid to the Treasury.
