A bill to amend the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961.
International Development Assistance Act - Amends the Foreign Assistance Act to authorize the President to make available grant development assistance to least developed countries.
Authorizes the appropriation of such sums as may be necessary for fiscal years 1978 and 1979 for: (1) agriculture, rural development, and nutrition assistance; (2) population planning; (3) health asistance; (4) selected development problems; (5) selected countries and organizations; (6) American schools and hospitals abroad; (7) housing guaranties; (8) international organizations and programs; and (9) international disaster assistance.
Authorizes the President to study factors affecting population growth and family planning.
