A bill to provide for the efficient and regular distribution of current information on Federal domestic assistance programs.
Federal Program Information Act - Creates a Federal Program Information Center, within the General Services Administration, to establish and maintain a computerized program information system which is capable of identifying all existing Federal domestic assistance programs. Requires that such identifications include enough information to allow a prospective beneficiary to determine whether or not he qualifies for such program by utilizing the system.
Directs the President to publish an annual catalog of such programs which includes all information in the Center's data base.
Authorizes appropriations through fiscal year 1980 to carry out the purposes of this Act.
