An original bill to authorize the Secretary of the Interior, with the approval of the Architect of the Capitol, to locate flag poles on the United States Capitol Grounds in order to fly the flag of each of the States of the United States, and its territories and possessions.
Authorizes the Secretary of the Interior to erect and maintain flag poles to fly the flags of each of the States on the United States Capitol Grounds, subject to the approval of the Architect of the Capitol.
Provides for the use of Capitol Grounds for making street changes to improve traffic flow to and from such Grounds and the National Vistor Center and within Union Station Plaza.
Requires the Secretary to restore areas of the Capitol Grounds disturbed by such operations to their original condition. Stipulates that the Congress shall not incur any obligation arising from the operation or maintenance of such flag poles.
